The apartment is next to the ultra fast Prorel lift that will take you into the fantastic 250k of linked piste that makes up the Serre Chevalier ski resort. The flat overlooks the Guisane river just before it joins the larger Durance.
We recently bought the apartment and have substantially refurnished it (new fridge, dishwasher, sofa beds, double bed, duvets, bedding, pillows, dining table, chairs, crockery, pans, cooking & eating utensils). We redecorated it in August 2020 so it is a pleasant and clean environment to enjoy your holiday in.
The apartment has windows on three sides so it is full of light and the balcony is south facing (on the 5th floor) with stunning views down the valley towards Gap. The apartment is in a great location for access to the ski runs, ski hire plus other activities and Briancon has all the facilities you would expect a town to offer.
The flat is an ideal size for up to 6 and has one bathroom (with a bath for tired legs & a shower for quicker results) plus a separate toilet. The apartment has a double bedroom, a room with 2 bunk beds and 2 double sofa beds in the living room (a folding screen pulls across to divide it and create 2 further 'bedrooms'). The beds all have new decent quality mattresses with wooden sprung bases so you will get a good nights sleep. There is plenty of hanging and drying space for wet clothes in the entrance hall plus a large cupboard to store your gear.
The kitchen/living/dining area has a folding table which will comfortably seat 8 and the cupboards are well equipped with plenty of decent quality pans, cooking utensils and crockery. There is a new 4 ring electric hob plus a microwave that also grills and is an oven. There is a fridge with a freezer compartment and also a dishwasher.
For entertainment we have a wall mounted 34" flat screen TV with French satellite, a DVD player and also a 1Tb Hard Drive with preloaded films and TV series. There are also some DVD films plus card and board games. We have the access codes to 2 local wi-fi signals that are received in the apartment.
The living room has a balcony with great south facing views of the Alps & Guisane river (with a folding table & chairs) and the windows of the hall and bedrooms have views to the North and West.
There is a ski locker in the basement to store your ski equipment and boot racks in the entrance hall for your ski boots. Outside of the ski season this store can be used to secure cycles, canoes and other sport equipment.
The apartment is on the fifth floor and there is lift access from the entrance lobby.
The flat is not expensive, so if you want more space, I suggest it is suitable for groups of 2 to 4 using the 2 bedrooms to sleep in and keeping the living area to sit, cook and dine.
Our local key holders are Michel (who has lived all his life in Briancon and speaks very good English) and his wife Denise (who is English) who look after the flat and will meet you to hand over keys and answer your questions. They are very helpful and will give good advice about local amenities and deal with any problems you encounter with the apartment. If you want towels Denise can provide at 7 Euros per set.
A deposit of 100 Euros is taken against damage and return of the keys.
